Recording and Transcription Process:
- Audio Transcription: Patient Notes uses advanced AI technology to transcribe audio recordings into text. This transcription is then used to generate the patient notes.
-
No Audio Access: You, as the user, do not have direct access to the original audio recordings. Only the transcribed text is available within the Patient Notes system. If you would like to access this you can do so by clicking the text under the Recording header- View recording details- this is a link to the transcript
Audio Retention and Security:
- Limited Access to Audio: In the rare event of an issue with audio upload, you can contact the support team. However, access to the original audio is restricted to the CTO and CEO of the organization due to security reasons. This is to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of patient data.
- Data Deletion: All transcripts and audio files are automatically deleted 30 days after the session or earlier if you choose to manually delete them. This policy helps maintain data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Points to Remember:
- Patient Notes primarily uses transcribed text for generating patient notes.
- Access to original audio recordings is highly restricted and only available to specific individuals for security purposes.
- Audio and transcript data are automatically deleted after a specified period (set to 30 days or upon manual deletion) to maintain data security.
Additional Considerations:
- Data Privacy: Patient Notes adheres to strict data privacy and security standards to protect patient information.
- Compliance: The system is designed to comply with relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines.
By understanding these details, you can use Patient Notes with confidence knowing that your patient data is handled securely and efficiently.
