There are a few ways to print your clinical notes from PatientNotes.app, depending on how your clinic is set up. Whether you’re using an integrated practice management system or working independently, we've got you covered.
🖨️ Option 1: Transfer to Your Integrated Software and Print
If your clinic uses a connected system like Nookal or Cliniko, the easiest way to print is by transferring your completed note into that system.
➡️ Learn how to transfer notes to your clinical software
Once transferred, just print the note using your clinical software’s built-in print function.
🔄 Option 2: Transfer to Your Non-Integrated Software
Even if your practice management system isn’t directly integrated with PatientNotes, you can still transfer notes quickly.
Use the ‘Copy’ or ‘Mark as Complete’ button to copy the note to your clipboard, then paste it directly into your clinical note field in your software (e.g. Best Practice, CorePlus, Genie, etc.).
-
Paste using Ctrl + V (Windows) or Command + V (Mac)
-
Then print the note from within your software as usual
💡 This method keeps PatientNotes compatible with nearly any system, even without integration.
✍️ Option 3: Paste into Any Text Editor and Print
If you're not using practice management software at all — or you want to save/print outside of it — you can paste your copied note into:
-
Microsoft Word
-
Google Docs
-
Apple Pages
-
Any basic text editor
Then simply print from there.
