PatientNotes supports a range of regional language preferences, including spelling, grammar, and phrasing styles (such as British, American, and Australian English). You can customise how the system responds based on your preferred language standard.
🔧 How to Update Your Language and Spelling Style:

Navigate to your Profile Settings in the PatientNotes dashboard.

Look for the field on how you would like PatientNotes to respind.

Click Save to apply the changes.
Once set, this preference will apply to all generated content, including clinical notes, letters, and summaries.
🌍 Auto-Detection & Manual Override

PatientNotes typically auto-detects your location and applies the appropriate language settings.

However, for consistency — especially across teams or when working across borders — it’s best practice to set your preference manually.

This is particularly useful if you're seeing unexpected spelling (e.g. color vs colour) or phrasing (e.g. while vs whilst).
