Purpose of the System: This innovative approach was adopted to enable us to focus more on interpersonal communication during sessions, rather than being preoccupied with manual note-taking. This shift also aims at providing more accurate and detailed documentation to your medical team.

About PatientNotes.app: The tool we use is called PatientNotes.app. It is a secure and encrypted platform, seamlessly integrated with our practice management system. The app converts the audio from our consultations into tailored clinical notes that effectively communicate with your referring doctors and medical network.

Compliance and Security: PatientNotes.app is fully compliant with AHPRA and HIPAA standards. It adheres to global encryption standards. Importantly, the recordings are not stored; instead, they are transformed into text using AI ad stored in our current Patient management system (Nookal). Unlike other systems, PatientNotes.app operates on a secure, partitioned platform, ensuring that data does not contribute to broader learning models.

Embed into your registration forms

I, [Patient's Name], hereby give my consent for my session to be recorded, processed, and stored by PatientNotes Pty Ltd, exclusively for the purpose of transcribing medical notes taken during the session, under the following terms:
- I acknowledge that the recording may include my personal information, including sensitive health information.
- I understand that the recording may be shared with transcription partners who follow stringent standards in line with the PatientNotes Privacy Policy.
-  I am assured that my personal information will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and that the data will be securely stored and encrypted.
- I am aware that my authorized healthcare providers will have access to these transcripts, and I can request a copy of these transcripts from my healthcare provider at any time.
- I understand that the transcripts will be retained by my healthcare provider as legally required, and

PatientNotes will keep a temporary copy for internal auditing purposes that will be deleted within 30 days.

Consent Screen Deactivation

To streamline the process for users who capture patient consent through alternative methods, such as a registration form, and wish to bypass the consent workflow screen, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Settings: Start by accessing the settings menu within your application.

2. Select Your Profile: Within settings, locate and select the 'Profile' option to proceed.

3. Disable the Consent Screen: Look for the consent screen option and simply uncheck it to deactivate.
   
   This action removes the consent workflow screen from your process.
