Dictation Workflow:

1. Start Dictating: Begin by dictating your clinical tab on the menu bar to start a clinical note or letter.

2. Click Start dictating and this will Automatically convert your speech into a clinical note.
3. The name of the client and a short session summary will automatically be populated from your dictation-  if this does not auto-appear or you would like to change this click on the session.  This may take a few seconds to appear.   
   
   
   
   
4. Once uploaded you will have the chance to use your current letter templates to populate either a medical letter or a patient summary.
   Versatile Use: Generate letters, patient.
   
   After generating your documents, the standard workflow still applies. This means you can manually access previous sessions, generate notes, and delete sessions as needed. Please be aware that these dictation sessions will only be stored on the server for 30 days.
   
   For traditional-style dictation, you may find using the Enter notes manually option with the Speech to Text option. You could use a prompt such as that shown below to help with formatting.
   
   
   
   

   Kindly produce a letter from the provided transcript. Begin with "Dear [Addressee]," and conclude with "Warm regards, Darren Ross, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, PatientNotes.app." Please limit modifications to grammar and formatting only, without altering the clinical content or making any assumptions or recommendations.

  If you wish to dictate with direct speech-to-text within your note please use our speech-to-text feature - this helps with adding context in word for word as you would like it to appear in either your clinical notes or letters.
